This team of Berkeley-Haas MBA 19s ( Lauren Fu, Azat Sembayev & Alibek Dostiyarov) created Boundless Group to match/manage the talents of Central Asian programmers with the needs of early stage startups.
Their vision aligned perfectly with this year’s Hult Challenge of “For Us, By Us–Solving Youth Unemployment”.
Although they didn’t win our campus round, their team and another team from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy, got “wild card” entries into one of the five regional finals…it’s never over ’til it’s over!
Hailing from Canada and Kazakhstan with experience at McKinsey and other top firms, this team has the deep stack skills to make it happen. Plus, Alibek already has experience winning @ the global level-his team was the runner-up for VCIC in 2017.
We’re so proud they’re representing UC Berkeley and wish them the best in getting to the Final Five to compete for $1M.
Check out their digs for the summer and start practicing your curtsies now!
